- Who are you and what do you do?
Priority Tax Management is dedicated to providing comprehensive ad
valorem property tax reduction solutions for our commercial and
industrial clients. We also licenses the PTM TxCAD Data Module. We do not offer services to the general public. PTM's property assessment models, in combination with our
knowledge of the Texas property tax appraisal framework, allow PTM's
team of professionals to effectively negotiate a just and equitable
property tax assessment. The company was established as a spin-off
of a division of a publicly traded Texas-
based real estate and energy holding company.

- How involved do I have to be in an appeal?
Texas property owners can be represented in an appeal or represent themselves. We do not provide this service. However, generally your involvement is limited to a brief five to ten
minute discussion with the Central Appraisal District. Due to changes in the appeal process, after the 2008 hearing year we recommend homeowners represent themselves in this process.

- Do I need to attend a hearing?
Yes. In the alternative, you may choose a Tax company to appear on your behalf. These companies can be found in the yellow pages or on a search engine. We do not provide referrals to the public. However, be forewarned: many tax companies do little more than show up for your hearing and hope they'll win your case. The law of averages allows companies who sign up enough customers to effectively use this strategy. However, it's of little to no benefit to a property owner.

- Why can't I use PTM?
Our commercial and industrial group is closed to new customers. We do not represent homeowners and after 2008 believe - in most cases - that homeowners will do best representing themselves.
